The Pick 5 begins with a maiden race on the inner turf at 7 1/2 furlongs. Domer Allure, who was up for 3rd in her season debut on Tapeta, tries grass for the first time and her mum was a stakes winner on turf and a half brother is a turf winner. Dreams and Schemes is an older maiden who has fared okay on grass and note that she had a bit of trouble in her one attempt at this distance on the inner turf in 2022.

The first Pick 4 wager begins with a tricky maiden claiming dash on tapeta. Trainer Ed Knight sends out Mia and Me for the second time this season and this gelding’s first outing was quite good.

The $175,000 Grade 2 Royal North Stakes is a turf sprint for fillies and mares and invader Bay Storm comes off a strong, 2nd place finish behind the remarkable Caravel, last year’s Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint winner. Our Flash Drive on the Grade 3 Whimsical on Tapeta in her season debut and she loves turf. The price play is Imagery, who rejoins the Lasix program and returns to her favourite grass course.
RACE 8: 1- MOIRA; 3- SOUPER HOITY TOITY; 9- KEYFLOWER; 5 – IL MALOCCHIO
The Grade 3 Belle Mahone Stakes marks the return of Horse of the Year Moira, who has a new rider for her 4-year-old opener. The champ is a stretch runner and there is not a lot of speed in the field so she will have to quicken in the stretch run. Another top filly from 2022, Souper Hoity Toity is 3 for 4 at the distance on Tapeta at Woodbine. Keyflower is a price play as she returns to an all weather surface.
