Saturday’s Best Bet:  3 – KIDDIE HOLIDAY – RACE 4

Saturday’s Longshot Play:  7- CALL MY BANKER – RACE 10

RACE 1 : 8 – HEART BOY; 1 – GRAND GIZMO; 6 STREET MAX; 5 – BEYOND TALENTED

Florida raced Heart Boy gets Kazushi Kimura on board for this maiden race and he gets the slight nod traveling 1 1/16 miles.

RACE 2:  9 – YORKVILLE;  8- WALTER ME LAD;  6 – PREETZAH’S STAR; 5 – BIG RANSOM

Yorkville is dropping from maiden special races to maiden claiming for his second race of the season. That is one of the biggest drops in racing and he rates as a top contender. Walter Me Lad has had any number of good workout times this spring and his loe outing last fall was very good. Preetzah’s Star can do better with a smoother break from the gate.

RACE 3:  2- KEEP GRINDING; 5 – CRUDEN BAY;  4 – UNCLE JOE; 1 – ONE BAY HEMINGWAY

Classy 5-year-old Keep Grinding does not sprint much but in this return from his winter vacation, he has speed to chase and he has been working in fast times. Curden Bay is also coming off the bench and he is a consistently good fellow, rarely does he miss the top 3. Uncle Joe won nicely off the layoff but has to avoid a pace battle with One Bay Hemingway.

RACE 4:  3- KIDDIE HOLIDAY;  4 – SOLAR;   7 – CC’S KINGDOM;  1 – PRIDEOFDISTINCTION

The Pick 4 wager starts here and the Mike Dunslow-trained Kiddie’s Holiday looks very logical off his races in Florida. This is the all important third-race off the layoff and Kiddie is 3 for 8 at the distance.

RACE 5: 4 – TAPROOM; 10- DANCING DUCHESS; 6 – PENNICK; 7 – PARTY

The first 2-year-old race of the season is for fillies and Taproom had a pleasing gate workout time on May 13. She is by a good 2-year-old debut sire in Tapiture. Dancing Duchess is also working in quick times and she is a half sister to Queen’s Plate winner Safe Conduct. Pennick, from the Kevin Attard barn, is a half sister to 4 nice winners.

RACE 6:  9 – TIBURON; 6 – KAUKOKAIPUU; 4 – SAMMY STONE;  3- MAGIC TOMAHAWK

This maiden allowance race starts a Pick 5 and first-time starter Tiburon has had a number of above average workout times. He is a son of one of the hottest young sires anywhere in Good Magic. Kaukokaipuu has six second-place finishes in his eight races. Sammy Stone comes from a hot barn and he has been working well with speedy debut winner Rapid Test.

RACE 7:  7 – LAST CALL;  5- RYDER RYDER RYDER; 4- TICKER TAPE HOME; 6 – BULSARA

The $100,000 Ruling Angel Stakes at 7 furlongs marks the return of Grade 1 winner Last Call, who took the Natalma Stakes last year on the grass. She tries Tapeta for the first time and gets back on Lasix. Two of the three Mark Casse starters, Ryder Ryder Ryder (graded stakes placed) and Ticker Tape Home  (stakes placed) are strong contenders.

RACE 8:  7 – HEY CUE; 4 – DIRECT DRIVE; 6 – COHERENCE;   8 – MOON OVER EGBERT

Hey Cue comes off a winter vacation and this half brother to Queen’s Plate winner One Bad Boy showed promise in three races last year. Florida  bred Direct Drive was third in his debut in a quick race and that was after a slow start.

RACE 9:  6 – LADY BREW;  3 – KITTEN”S ROMANCE ; 4- DIAMOND CRUSH; 1 – A GAME

This is a wide open allowance race at 7 furlongs and Lady Brew had a sharp return outing and is logical. The ultra-consistent Kitten’s Romance posted her highest career Beyer Figure in her 2022 finale, her first try on Tapeta.

RACE 10:  7 – CALL MY BANKER;   8- BLUE MAX; 9 – CHELSEA DAGGER ;  1- KID FORESTER;    5 – AWESOMECREST
