The CTHS Ontario Mixed Sale returned after a one-year absence on October 29 at the Woodbine sales pavilion. A small catalogue of horses of all ages was on offer and the median price of the horses sold was up slightly from the 2019 sale.

Sold by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent, which sold the top five horses at the auction, the filly is a half-sister to a winner and a placed runner this year from three foals of racing age. Rich Dynasty Ltd. was listed as the buyer.

The top mare was APPELLA, who brought a bid of $30,000 from Dr. Brett Anderson from the Hill ‘n’ Dale consignment. Appella, bred by the late Gus Schickedanz, is a stakes-placed winner by Silent Name (Jpn) from Thats Our Princess by Curlin. Appella was sold carrying her first foal, by Old Forester.
