The Downs has just jumped out of the gate with the 2023 season and is off to a great start.
With that, the track is now announcing that they are going to double the Pick 4 pool guarantee to $50,000 for every card starting on Monday, May 29. The Pick 4 requires a minimum $1 ticket and has a low 15.95% takeout.
“We are so thrilled with the energy from fans around the racing world and the team has a ton of fun putting on the show,” said Darren Dunn, CEO. “The wagering has been very strong so far and we have heard a lot of great feedback on the other initiatives we introduced this year. We wanted to respond quickly with more.”
The track debuted with new initiatives this season including the two 100% carryover $1 Super Hi-5 pools in race 5 and the last race, the reduced takeouts on almost all pools and the introduction of the new race graphics from the Gmax Hybrid timing system.
