Woodbine’s leading rider KAZUSHI KIMURA was entered into the concussion protocol by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario following a spill in the first race at Woodbine on Saturday, July 8.

Kimura, who has 50 wins at the Woodbine meeting, was riding favoured Uncle Bull for trainer Martin Drexler when they got into tight traffic and fell into the stretch on the turf course. Kimura was transported to a local hospital but he was responding to messages on Sunday.

When a jockey or exercise rider falls off a horse the AGCO may put the rider on the concussion protocol program.
