It was an exciting Saturday for fans of the newest Ontario stallion, MUCHO MACHO MAN as the stallion’s son REAL MACHO scored an impressive win in a three-year-old allowance race at Gulfstream Park. Real Macho, at 25-to-1, ran down heavily-favoured Born Noble to win the one mile race in 1:37.40 for a strong 87 Beyer Speed Figure.

The fast improving Real Macho, now with two wins in four races, is co-owned by Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, which raced Mucho Macho Man, winner of the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) at Santa Anita. Mucho Macho Man had been standing in Kentucky where he has sired Grade 1 winner MUCHO GUSTO (Pegasus World Cup) and Grade 1 winning turfer MUCHO UNUSUAL among his 10 black-type winners from his first eight crops.

The 16-year-old stallion will stand the 2024 season at Adena Springs North in Aurora, ON. Stallion manager Tony Gattelaro said the farm is “offering a discount to multiple mares and returning Adena clients.”
