This is an ‘anything goes’ maiden race for $10,000 claiming to start the $100,000 guaranteed Pick 5 as each runner is coming off a layoff and few have shown much. Wetiko had a bit of speed in his debut last November at a higher level and he gets his blinkers back on. Trainer Carlos Grant and jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson have had success together in the last year. Harper City gets blinkers and Lasix and shows a fast workout time on the training track on April 20.
RACE 3: 3 – SILVER BULLET LADY; 5 – FEDALINE; 7 – DIXIERIBSY; 6 – SOUPER COP
Last year’s second leading trainer, Martin Drexler, has a number of horses on today’s card who look like strong contenders. Silver Bullet Lady did not win last year in 7 races but placed four times including first time out last May in a 5 furlong dash.

Speedster Courgeous Copper was claimed from a win in Florida in December and may be the quickest of these while old timers Alicia’s Kid, who is in sharp form from racing in New Orleans, and Ghoul are also factors.

Fresh off a maiden win with a 77 Beyer Speed Figure, One True Gentleman is back from New Orleans for the good combo of owner CamHaven Farms and trainer Steve Flint.

The $125000 Woodstock Stakes for 3-year-olds at 6 furlongs is a bit light on quality and quantity but stakes placed Midnight Mascot from the powerful Mark Casse barn is very likely. He just missed by a head in the Dec. 2 Clarendon Staks to Frac Dancer, who won a sprint stake at Gulfstream Park this winter.
