Woodbine jockey JUSTIN STEIN is on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean this weekend to ride Horse of the Year HASTA MANANA (SAf) in the Group 2 People’s Super Mile Trophy at Champ de Mars racecourse.
Stein, who won the Breeders’ Stakes on Roscar last weekend at Woodbine, has six mounts on the seven-race card at Champ de Mars.
The People’s Super Mile Trophy is on October 6 at 1600 metres and has a field of nine including one reserve.
Hasta Manana, who recently won the People’s Derby last month, is a six-year-old by William Longsword – Queen of Spain by Holy Roman Emperor and he is a stakes winner from South Africa.
