Thoroughbred enthusiasts will now have the opportunity to view the CTHS September Yearling Sale from the comfort of their own home. The Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Ontario Division) has partnered with Streamlogics, a leading provider of webcasting solutions, to deliver its 2006 Canadian-Bred Yearling Sale over the Internet through a live webcast.

“We’re taking advantage of the interactive environment to allow people the opportunity to view our Yearling Sale on our website should they be unable to attend,” says Julie Coulter, General Manager of the CTHS (Ontario Division). “This will also allow us the opportunity to showcase our Canadian-breds to viewers from around the world.”

The live webcast will broadcast the Selected Yearling Sale on September 5th commencing at 3:00 p.m. and the Preferred Yearling Sale on September 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the Woodbine Racetrack Sales Pavilion. The webcast will include a customized web interface that displays the horse currently in the auction ring along with the hip number and bidding amount listed in both Canadian and U.S. funds. It will be offered in both live video and audio format in order to reach viewers regardless of their bandwidth speed.
