TOP CANADIAN JOCK RICO WALCOTT TO RIDE BEAR AT LAST IN TRIAL

A very contentious field featuring many of the top Queen’s Plate contenders will gather for the Trial on June 14 while the Woodbine Oaks, run the same day, could produce a Plate starter.

Trainer READE BAKER has employed RICO WALCOTT, a Sovereign Award nominated rider and Alberta’s top jock to partner BEAR AT LEAST in the Trial

Bear at Last finished 3rd in the open Wando Stakes with an 83 Beyer Figure but was stuck behind a slow pace in a recent allowance outing against older rivals.

WALCOTT won this year’s BARBADOS GOLD CUP aboard Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s SAYLER’S CREEK and a litany of big events in Alberta including the Canadian derby. Last fall he won 3 stakes races on one card of racing.
