ON THE ROAD – WHO IS WHERE?
STEVEN CHIRCOP has collected 10 horses and is stabled at Penn National this winter ready to put his soft 2015 season behind him. Chircop had unfortunate luck early in the season at Woodbine including a nasty fall by the filly Wannabitofbrew, and never could get on a roll.
Steven is hoping that his sharp horses that he has purchased and claimed will lead to another good winter like he had last year when he teamed up with Kevin Attard and won several races.
Among the runners that Chircop has at Penn include the told old-timer TOP PROSPECT and recent winners Mindfulness and Play it Forward.
CHIRCOP’S first entries are on Thursday:
Coastal Moon Race 2 Claiming $7,500
I’m Just Sayin Race 5 Claiming $5,000
Sligo Girl Race 8 Maiden Claiming $5,000
In Florida you will find Bill Tharrenos and Mike DePaulo (Gulfstream), Reade Baker, Roger Attfield, Gail Cox, Tino Attard, Ricky Griffith, Mark Frostad, Nick Gonzalez, Barb Minshall, well, the list goes on.
From Palm Meadows to Palm Beach Downs up to Ocala and down to Gulfstream and Calder, the Canadians have set up shop with some of the prospects they intend to race this winter.
