The horse racing world will hold its breath as Santa Anita opens its fall meeting Friday en route to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships in November.
Following a tragic winter and spring that had 30 horse fatalities, the track and racing in California, has gone through many changes with new protocols in place.

Representatives of Tapeta All-Weather are in town to monitor maintenance on the track following three fatalities last weekend.
The first digital sale to be offered by CTHS Ontario is accepting entries until Nov. 13 and will be online Nov. 21.
Race cards will be cancelled pending a thorough investigation of track conditions and other potential contributing factors.
