Baazy Boy, a Thoroughbred gelding that calls Australian home, hosts his own blog and attracted plenty of attention via his website www.bazzyboy.net in the highly regarded 2007 Weblog Awards.

The Weblog Awards are the world’s largest blog competition, with over 525,000 votes cast for the finalists in the 2006 edition. This year there were over 4000 nominations in 49 categories. Winning the Best Pet Blog category, in the industry acclaimed Weblogs – http://2007.weblogawards.org/polls/best-pet-blog-1.php will bring this unassuming horse and his proud parents recognition and kudos. With 35% of the votes, Bazzy Boy was clearly ahead of his closest rivals who came in 2nd with 27%. The winners will be announced at the BlogWorld and New Media Expo in Las Vegas on Friday 9th November.

In a worrying period for the Australian recreational and sporting horse world due to Equine Influenza, Bazzy Boy is a ray of sunshine! Bazzy’s blog was established in June ’07 by his besotted owner Keith Day, and since then the internet world has embraced the horse’s light hearted, cheeky opinions. His web site has had over 10,000 visitors, and cracking 50,000 page views in the last 10 days. Not bad for a problematic steed, tagged ‘Lazy Sod’ because he couldn’t race around the track fast enough.
