Woodbine’s Thoroughbred Racing Department has issued the following statement on their 2023 racing program.

In mid-December, following the last day of racing at Woodbine for 2022, these are some of the leading breeders in the province.
The four-race Heritage Series continues at Woodbine on the turf on October 21 with Pleasure's Gold and Bossy Holiday leading by points.

Ontario Racing has announced an additional $2.375 million in funding for the 2019 Thoroughbred Improvement Program (TIP), from the Ontario government.
As per its agreement with the OLG, through the Long Term Funding Agreement, Ontario Racing will administer the Thoroughbred Horse Improvement Program.
The 2018/19 TIP, based on recommendations from the Thoroughbred Advisory Group and Thoroughbred Working Group, has been approved by Ontario Racing.
“The Ontario Sired program isn’t going away, I don’t anticipate any major changes in 2018,” said Sue Leslie president of the HBPA (Ontario).
