Toronto, ON – Starting this Wednesday, April 28, Woodbine thoroughbred racing adds evening cards into the mix, continuing through to the final date of the meet, December 5.
First-race post time for Wednesdays is 6:45 p.m.
Live racing is already in gear on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Post time is 1:00 p.m.
The $150,000 Fury Stakes, a key race on the road to the Woodbine Oaks, presented by Budweiser (June 13), is set for this Saturday, Kentucky Derby day, May 1.
Last year, Woodsmoke set a Fury Stakes record for seven furlongs, completing the event in 1:22.67, besting Gonetofarr’s time of 1:22.86 in 2002.
