It’s Breeders’ Cup week and in 2021 the Championships will be held when the surf meets the turf; ‘Ole Del Mar. With a three-hour time difference between Ontario and San Diego, Breeders’ Cup races begin in mid to late afternoon and go into the night.
The Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) will go off at 8:40 eastern on Saturday night. The big event has ESSENTIAL QUALITY, KNICKS GO, and MAX PLAYER among others going in the $6 million race.

The Rood & Riddle Breeders’ Cup Post-Position Draw for the 2021 Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be shown live on Monday, Nov. 1 from Del Mar racetrack in Del Mar, California, beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET.
All 14 races will be drawn and announced live on TVG, along with BreedersCup.com, the Breeders’ Cup mobile app, and Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages.
The 38th Breeders’ Cup World Championships, consisting of 14 races with purses and awards totaling more than $31 million, will be held at Del Mar on Friday, Nov. 5 and Saturday, Nov.6. The Breeders’ Cup World Championships races will be drawn in the following order:
