The Rood & Riddle Breeders’ Cup Post Position Draw for the 2022 World Championships at Keeneland Race Course will take place on Monday, Oct. 31 at legendary Rupp Arena, home of the Kentucky Wildcats, in downtown Lexington, Kentucky, beginning at 2:45 p.m. ET. The Draw will offer free admission to the general public with no ticket required. Doors open to the public at 2:00 p.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 31 at Rupp Arena.
The post positions for all 14 World Championships races will be drawn and announced live on FanDuel TV and streamed on the Breeders’ Cup website, Official Mobile App, and Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels. A special FanDuel TV preview show will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET.
MOIRA put in her final workout for the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Woodbine on the Tapeta in company with winner Cape Cod and the ‘Queen’s’ team declared it all systems go for a trip to Keeneland in Lexington, KY for the 1 3/16mile turf race on November 5.

The X-Men Racing – 2 and Madaket have LAST CALL, a Kentucky-bred trained by Attard in the Juvenile Fillies Turf and Woodbine trainer Nathan Squires has Bill Thompson’s CAIRO CONSORT also in that race.
Charles Fipke’s LADY SPEIGHTSPEARE will also compete in the Filly & Mare Turf for trainer Roger Attfield.
Cairo Consort is entered in The November Sale at Fasig-Tipton two days after the Breeders’ Cup by owner Bill Thompson.
Attfield and Fipke will start SHIRL’S SPEIGHT, a Kentucky-bred, Woodbine-based horse in the Mile. Fourth in the Woodbine Mile (G1), Shirl’s Speight drew in from the also-eligible list.
Ontario Jockey Club Stakes winner BUSHIDO, trained by Canadian Darwin Banach and co-owned by Bill Sorokolit Jr. was entered in the Juvenile Turf Sprint and is on his way to Kentucky, needing one scratch to draw into the field.

Canadian-bred CHANNEL MAKER, bred by Ivan Dalos, is entered in the Breeders’ Cup Turf and is set to run in the 1 1/2 mile turf race for the 5th straight year. The 8-year-old was also in the Juvenile Turf in 2016. The son of English Channel was Canada’s Champion 3-year-old in 2017 and 2020 Eclipse Award winning Turf Male and he has earned $3.6 million.
Canadian-bred ARTEMUS CITYLIMITS, who was third in the Greenwood Stakes at Woodbine in 2020 and recently second in the Grade 2 Turf Sprint at Kentucky Downs and third in the Woodford Stakes (G2) at Keeneland, is in the Grade 2 Turf Sprint on Saturday, Nov. 5. The son of Temple City – Dene Court by City Zip was bred by Gunpowder Farms in Ontario.
Woodbine’s leading trainer MARK CASSE has American-based/bred WONDER WHEEL, owned by D.J. Stable, in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and longshot WEBSLINGER has drawn into the Juvenile Turf.
PETER REDEKOP of Vancouver, British Columbia has his star 2-year-old filly AND TELL ME NOLIES in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) at 1 1/16 miles on the dirt.
