Yearlings by 38 stallions from two dozen consignors pack the 2020 annual Yearling and Mixed Sale of the CTHS BC set for September 8 at Thunderbird Horse Park in Langley. The sale begins at 3 p.m.

The BC sale realized an increase if average price in 2019 with gross sales topping $1 million and breeders hope that, despite the uncertainty of the entire year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, momentum will continue to this year’s auction.

Offspring of leading BC sires Second in Command, Bakken and Sungold are in the book, there are several from the first crop of Alberta sire ILIAD, Grade 2 winner at Santa Anita and half-brother to millionaire Melmich, plus yearlings by US sires such as Mucho Macho Man, Super Saver, Sky Mesa and first crop sire Cupid (by Tapit).

The CTHS website has more information on the auction at https://www.cthsbc.org/yearlingsale.
