Amerman Racing LLC’s Blue Heart saved all the ground before launching a decisive run to capture the $250,000 Bison City Stakes, Sunday at Woodbine.

The 1 1/16 mile-event is the second jewel of the Triple Tiara, for three-year-old fillies, foaled in Canada.

The Exchange Rate-Flawless Diamond filly, trained by Brian Lynch and ridden by Alex Solis, waited in third position along the rail as Casa Loma led the field through moderate splits of :25.45, :49.88 and 1:14.18.  Casa Loma maintained a one-length advantage at the top of the lane, but with a sixteenth of a mile to run, Solis angled Blue Heart off the rail to score a comfortable length and three-quarter win. A rallying Black Bird Rock nosed out Casa Loma for place. The final running time was 1:45.77.
