The Canadian Triple Crown will wrap up on September 28 at Woodbine with the $400,000 Breeders’ Stakes at 1 1/2 miles on the inner turf. Eleven horses have been nominated, with King’s Plate runner-up TOM’S MAGIC the most notable of the probable entrants.
Plate winner MANSETTI, who was edged only late in the second jewel of the Triple Crown, the Prince of Wales at Fort Erie, has not been nominated and while ‘Wales’ winner RUNAWAY AGAIN is not on the list, he was supplemented to both the Plate and the Prince of Wales and could be supplemented to the Breeders.
