King’s Plate winner and 2024 Champion 3-Year-Old Filly in Canada CAITLINHERGRTNESS (Omaha Beach) has a good chance to add to her impressive race record on December 13 in the $250,000 My Charmer Stakes at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky. The 4-year-old chestnut, trained by Kevin Attard for Siena Farm LLC and Winstar Farm LLC, has post position two for the one mile race on Tapeta and Flavian Prat is named to ride. ‘Caitlin’ has won two graded stakes races at Woodbine this season and has been second in three others and she is the leading contender for the Sovereign Award for Champion Older Female/Main Track.
Caitlinhergrtness, who was bred by Jesse Korona, has earned just over $951,000 (US). Also in the field is Woodbine’s Trillium Stakes (G3) winner Literate and Queens Command (Ire), who was second in the Grade 3 Maple Leaf Stakes at Woodbine on Nov. 8 for trainer Martin Drexler. The My Charmer is race six at Turfway on Saturday.
Race 7 is the $250,000 Holiday Inaugural Stakes and one of Canada’s leading contender for Champion Female Sprinter, MS. TART has the rail post in her first race since she was bought for $375,000 from the Keeneland sale by Mulholland Springs and Judy Pryor. In race 8, the $250,000 Prairie Bayou Stakes, last year’s Champion 3-Year-Old Colt of Gelding, DRESDEN ROW, could grab Champion Older Male/Main Track with a win. The Kennedy Road winner Nobals is in the field with Rafael Hernandez named.
