Joe Humber and Carlos Macias have purchased Canadian classic and graded stakes winner DANISH DYNAFORMER and will stand the 11-year-old son of Dynaformer at Humber Stables in Ridgeway, Ontario for 2023. Danish Dynaformer previously stood at Colebrook Farms in Uxbridge for owner Charles Fipke. His fee will be $2,500 (live foal guaranteed) or $1,500 (no guarantee). Humber offers multiple mare and blacktype mare discounts.
“I think he is developing into a very nice stallion. His first crop were two-year-olds last year and showed a lot of promise,” said Humber. “We are very excited to see his now three-year-olds on the track this year.”
In his 26-start race career, Danish Dynaformer defeated 16 grade 1 winners and 40 graded stakes winners and had five victories. Among those was the Grade 3 Singspiel Stakes at Woodbine on the grass, the Breeders’ Stakes, the third jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown, and Plate Trial Stakes on the all-weather track at Woodbine. He finished a closing second to Stronach Stables’ Shaman Ghost in the 2015 Queen’s Plate and was second in the Grade 3 Red Smith Handicap at Aqueduct. He had victories at Gulfstream Park and Keeneland in a career that saw him earn over $930,000.
“His pedigree is solid on both sides,” said Humber. “He’s one of the last sons of major sire Dynaformer, and his dam is a half-sister to Breeders’ Cup Mile winner War Chant. His second dam is three-year-old Eclipse champion Hollywood Wildcat, a multiple graded stakes producer and Grade 1 winner herself of $1.4 million.”
From his first crop of runners in 2022, Danish Dynaformer was represented by the promising Three Sonny Side Up, owned by 3 Sons Stable. Three Sonny Side Up had a win and two second-place finishes in three races. Two other starters in 2022 including the maiden optional/maiden allowance placed filly Smoken Chloe and All My Tomorrows, placed in a maiden/optional on the grass for trainer Suzanne Drake.
