The 5th Annual Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Stallion Auction begins Friday, January 9th. All 21 stallions featured are either CHRHF Honoured Members or have Hall of Fame horses in their pedigree. Bidder registration and a complete list of stallions are available HERE.
This year’s participating Thoroughbred Farms and stallion owners include Canadian farms Ballycroy Bloodstock, Chiefswood, Colebrook Farms, Highfield Stock Farm , Northern Dawn Stables, Tall Oaks Farm, and T. C. Westmeath. Weburn, Tapiture, Big Screen, Frac Daddy, Avie’s Flatter, Harlocap and Gamble’s Exchange are among the stallions featured.
Additionally, Kentucky-based farms Darley and Lane’s End have entered stallions Proxy and Senor Buscador to the project.
All bidders must register with the auction site. Please check “spam/junk folder” for registration confirmation email. All bids are in Canadian dollars.
The minimum bid increment is $200.00. A bidder will be notified by email if a higher bid has been placed on the stallion you are bidding on. If a bid occurs in the final 60 seconds of the sale, the auction for that stallion will be extended for an additional 120 seconds or until all bidding ceases.
The successful bidder will be notified by email after the auction closes.
Approval of mare by breeding farm will be required for all breedings.
Bidding is open until Jan. 14.
