Trainer ROBERTINO DIODORO became the 37th conditioner in North America to win 3,000 race when Arthurian won a $10,000 claiming race on Saturday at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The 48-year-old Diodoro, who is from Calgary, Alberta, then won his 3,001st race when Lovely Ride won the Pippin Stakes.
Diodoro won his first career race on Aug. 2, 1995 at Northlands Park.
Diodoro currently leads the 2022-2023 Oaklawn standings with 16 victories through the first 10 days of the meeting, which began Dec. 9, and $736,972 in purse earnings.
Diodoro’s 14,378 starters have amassed purse earnings of more than $60.2 million.
