The American Two-Year-Olds in Training sales wrapped up with a record Ocala Breeders’ Sales June auction which ended June 9.
A total of 658 2-year-olds sold for a record $27,082,500. There were plenty of Canadian- and Ontario-bred offerings in the sale and more than a dozen Canadian-based horsepeople made purchases.
MIKE DOYLE, agent, bought four youngsters while Alberta trainer Don Schnell picked up two juveniles.
Owner DEREK CHIN paid $80,000 for an Ontario-bred colt by Astern (Aus) from the mare Lexi Tap and DOUGLAS REDDINGTON put up $50,000 for an Ontario-bred Cairo Prince filly from the mare Erma Lee.
