The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Board of Directors has determined that while we are seeing improvements in conditions and some aspects of our live are returning to more normal circumstances, it is not yet time to confirm a date when we can all gather in celebration of the CHRHF Classes of 2020 and 2021. Unfortunately there are still many factors relating to what we will face in the coming weeks and months, including whether large indoor gatherings will be feasible and appropriate.

We understand this news will be disappointing for all of our inductees and their connections, but please be assured the CHRHF continues to monitor the situation so we can identify when it will be feasible to hold the truly memorable event all inductees who are part of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame’s Classes of 2020 and 2021 so richly deserve.

It is the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame’s intention to provide Inductees of the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 with the same recognition and induction experience as has been bestowed on those who have been inducted throughout the Hall’s history. The honour of induction recognizes lifetime achievement, and as part of that, inductees should be provided the opportunity to be surrounded by those who are most important to them when they officially receive their ring or trophy.

Additionally, because the annual Induction Gala is a significant fundraiser for the organization, the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame continues to explore fundraising opportunities to help offset ongoing costs. As a registered charity, all those who make monetary donations to the CHRHF will receive a charitable contribution tax receipt. Contributions may be made by visiting the Hall’s website at canadianhorseracinghalloffame.com and selecting “Donate Now”

Details regarding the Nomination and Election of the Class of 2022 will be released this fall.
