In conjunction with the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Induction Gala taking place Wednesday, August 3, the organization has launched a virtual auction, making auction items available to induction gala guests and the general public.

Among the unique items being offered are:

  • Halters worn by 3-generations of Thoroughbred Champions – Danzig, Langfuhr and Wando. This spectacular, one-of-a-kind offering is from the personal collection of CHRHF Honoured Member as a Builder, Gustav Schickedanz, and has been donated by the Schickedanz family. Authenticity certificates from Claiborne Farm (Danzig) and Schönberg Farm (Langfuhr and Wando) are included.
  • Framed, artist proof of Man o’ War by artist Fred Stone.
  • Bass fishing trip on the Niagara River with Hall of Fame Thoroughbred Trainer Reade Baker.
  • Toronto Maple Leaf Tickets, provided by MLSE.
  • Tickets to attend the 100th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Horse Show this November.
  • Dinner for four at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday, Sept. 3, Maple Leaf Trot and Canadian Pacing Derby night.
  • A horse-themed quilt created by Vicki Bax, wife of Standardbred trainer John Bax.
  • A collection of scrumptious preserves from the kitchen of Liz Waples, wife of Hall of Fame trainer Ron Waples.
  • Autographed hockey jerseys…and much, much more!
