Trainer Dino Condilenios was dressed to the nines on Mother’s Day in a dark blue suit and crisp blue-on-white button-down shirt.
After winning three races Sunday at Hastings Racecourse including the $50,000 George Royal with Modern for a third consecutive year, he says he’s thinking about making it his normal attire for the balance of the 2017 season.
“I never considered it a lucky suit but I’m starting to wonder,” Condilenios said in the winner’s circle celebrating the George Royal victory with owners Swift Thoroughbreds Inc. “I think we’ve won five of the last six George Royal stakes.”
