Multiple Graded Stakes winner, multiple new track record setter and multiple Grade 1 performer FED BIZ is to stand at Highfield Stock Farm in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
The son of leading sire Giant’s Causeway, Fed Biz showcased his exceptional ability as a racehorse from 2 to 5 with 6 wins and over $770,000 in earnings. He was bred to excel on the track and had tremendous range with wins from 7 furlongs to 1 1/16 on dirt. His racing ability is matched by his impressive pedigree from the direct family of sire of sires Pulpit, Tale of the Cat, and Johannesburg.
“Fed Biz was an incredibly talented racehorse,” said Adrian Munro, president of Highfield, “and with his outstanding pedigree and stunning looks we are thrilled to welcome him to Alberta. This is the right time for a stallion of his calibre to be introduced to the Western Canadian market. We think Alberta is poised for growth and the team at Highfield look forward to Fed Biz joining Cape Canaveral at the farm.”
Fed Biz previously stood at WinStar Farm in Kentucky and was named a Gold Value Sire of his crop, was #1 Second Crop Sire of 2019 by BTWs and BTHs and Top 5 Third-Crop sire in 2020. Fed Biz’s Inthemidstofbiz was a dominant winner of the G2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland and earned a berth in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
“We wish Fed Biz and Highfield Stock Farm the best of success in Western Canada. He has gotten runners on all surfaces and distances and he is so well bred. I see him being a top stallion in that region for years to come”, says Elliott Walden, WinStar Farm.
Fed Biz had speed and versatility and has the pedigree of a leading sire for Alberta. Fed Biz will stand the 2021 season for $4,000 CDN (LFSN) and will be available for viewing in the upcoming weeks at Highfield Stock Farm.
