Maggie and Doug Northcott have added a new stallion to their WorkWize Farm in Acme, Alberta. The couple welcomed FIGHT ON, a son of multiple leading American stallion Into Mischief, this fall and will stand him at stud for the 2024 breeding season.

Fight On was a $340,000 yearling purchase at the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling Sale and won the Spendthrift Farm Stallion Stakes at Churchill Downs in his fourth career start.

A winner on the grass at Santa Anita as a three-year-old, Fight On won the 1 1/16 mile Fifth Season Stakes on the dirt at Oaklawn Park as a four-year-old and that same year was fourth in the Grade 2 San Antonio Stakes at Santa Anita to Gift Box.

The well-travelled horse was graded stakes-placed in a short stint in Dubai at Meyan in 2020 and in 2021, third on the Kona Gold stakes (G3) at Santa Anita to Cezanne.

Fight On won from five furlongs to 1 1/16 miles and earned over $490,000 from 25 starts.

The Northcott’s new stallion is a son of the Elusive Quality mare Havenlass, a half sister to multiple graded stake-winning sprinter Royal Haven and Golden Rod Stakes (G2) winner Belterra.

Fight On joins two other stallions owned by WorkWize Stables, TOUR DE FORCE and MALIBU MAX.
