BOSSALINA, EASY TIME, STOLEN MONEY and PHIL IN ECHO are just some of the names in the entries for the Mashramani Horse Racing Meet presented by Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee on February 25 in Guyana.

That group of horses will compete in a $4 million (Guyana) Handicap at 1600 metres on the race card at the Rising Sun Turf Club in Berbice.

Bossalina, by Street Boss, won the Sino Truck Sprint Classic on Jan. 1, defeating 2023 Horse of the Year Spankhurst. The seven-year-old mare was a three-time winner at Woodbine for Dave Cotey before heading to Guyana in 2023.

Easy Time, winner of the Grade 3 Marine Stakes at Woodbine for Breeze Easy and trainer Mark Casse, won the Guyana Cup in 2023 and is a six-year-old by Not This Time. The two most recent arrivals to Guyana are Stolen Money, a grey son of We Miss Artie, who won four of 10 races in 2023 at Woodbine, two for Bushlot Farm and trainer Danny Yu. The five-year-old had his first run in Guyana in Bossalina’s Sprint Classic victory and he finished second.

Phil In Echo will be making his first start in Guyana. The five-year-old mare by Society’s Chairman is an Ontario-bred from the mare Northglen by St Jovite.  The mare, also owned by Bushlot, is a two-time winner in 24 races.
