On the heels of a successful Prince of Wales Stakes Day which drew record Twilight Tuesday attendance and handle, Fort Erie Race Track is expressing official support for EquiLottery as an answer to the question of integration in Ontario. Senior management at the race track have been presented the game concept and plan of action for the province by EquiLottery Corp. President & CEO Brad Cummings.
“We have met with Brad Cummings and walked away very impressed with the possibilities EquiLottery presents to racing at Fort Erie and around the province,” said Fort Erie Chief Operating Officer Rick Cowan. “Ontario racing needs to innovate in order to thrive and this product certainly does that by opening our sport to millions more who don’t currently go to the race track. Our Premier asked for integration between the OLG and racing and this certainly satisfies that criteria.”
EquiLottery works within the existing lottery system to bring fresh excitement to the lottery experience while drawing the attention of international horseplayers. This relationship between lottery players and horseplayers produces large wagering pools with dynamic payouts on everyday races and generates increased wagering handle. Recently released numbers show that EquiLottery is projected to be a $100 million lottery game in Ontario with a $101.5 million impact on Ontario pari-mutuel pools.

At the time of this release, racing and lottery interests from 26 states and provinces have expressed interest in EquiLottery as well as representatives from 5 continents since its public unveiling on July 9th.
