With I’ll Have Another set to pursue a sweep of the Triple Crown following his victory in Saturday’s Preakness Stakes, tickets to the 144th running of the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Stakes on June 9th are certain to be a hot commodity. As a result, The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has changed its Belmont Stakes ticket-selling policies.
As of Sunday, customers can purchase Belmont Stakes tickets at Belmont Park or Aqueduct Racetrack from 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., with walk-up ticket sales at the two tracks to resume on Wednesday, subject to availability. Transactions at Aqueduct are limited to credit card purchases.
Customers will not be able to purchase tickets by calling or faxing NYRA. Instead, they can buy tickets through Ticketmaster (as of Monday at 10 a.m.). To buy tickets through Ticketmaster, racing fans can call 800-745-3000 or visit http://www.ticketmaster.com/.
All customers, whether they purchased tickets at Belmont or Aqueduct or through Ticketmaster, will receive their tickets via mail. There is a limit of six tickets per transaction.
