Gulfstream Park Experiences Heavy Flooding Dec. 23

Monday morning at Gulfstream Park and the weather outside is frightful.

Heavy rain has led to flooding throughout Florida and for a time the Fort Lauderdale Airport was closed.

Woodbine’s JOSIE DEPAULO shared the cover photo of one of her staffers attending to the horses while Twitter has been alive with incredible footage of the rack flooding. Trainer KEN MCPEEK said –

I’ve got 26 horses  @GulfstreamPark – we are working to move to my facility in Summerfield, Fla. The pumping system will drain this off by this afternoon. I’ve seen this happen another time back in the 90s. 6 inches of rain overnight
