Hastings Park Wagering Increases 15% in 2019

HASTINGS FINAL STATS FOR 2019

Please note we had the highest number of horses that actually started at least once in 2019.  A total of 566 horses started the most in the last several years.

PURSE POOL FINAL STATS

In total for the 51 days we ran 354 overnight races,  the total payout was $5,449,450 for an average of $15, 394 per race which was broken down to Purses $14,010 to all breeds, plus $1279 to BC Breds and $105 to 6-12 starters.

The stake pool paid out a total of $2,270,000 which consisted of $270,000 from Sponsors of Stake Races, $630,150 from nominations and $1,369,850 from the total allocation of funds.

The Average daily payout of purses was $151,362 including overnights and stakes races.

NUMBER OF RACES

All together we ran a total of 390 races which was a total of 354 overnight races and 36 stakes races.

A total of 566 horses started in at least one race and total number of horses that started in 390 was 2713. That is an average of 6.96 horses per race which was the highest in the last several years.

Our records show there was only 5 days of racing on a off track which was 5 less then in 2018.

HASTINGS HANDLE

We keep track of the daily handle on a day to day comparison basis and the total handle was up over 2018 by $3,869,094.  The 2018 total was $25,243,879 and 2019 was a total of $29,112,973.
