The 2024 season at Hastings Racecourse concluded Sunday, Oct. 13 with seven races. The Vancouver track offered fans a free mystery wallet at the track with a voucher inside for up to $100.

The final two stakes races of the meeting were held on Saturday.

BC’s top two-year-old MOUNT DOOM made it look easy in the $50,000 Glen Todd Ascot Graduation, pressing the pace from the outset with Counter Cat to the final turn before edging clear to win by 4 3/4 lengths in 1:45.57 for 1 1/16 miles. Sent out at 2-to-5 odds, the son of Bakken – Willow Creek Farms and Lorie Henson own a Song for Arbonne by Arch, trained by Steve Henson and was bred by Bill Stewart in BC.
