INFINITE PATIENCE continued her remarkable winning streak on October 8 at Hastings Racecourse as the 5-year-old mare won the Ballerina Stakes by 8 3/4 lengths. The bay daughter of Sungold – Montero by Louis Quatorze was winning for the 10th straight time and taking her ninth consecutive stakes victory dating back to August 2021. This year she is 5-for-5 from races at Hastings and Century Mile.

Owned by Bill DeCoursey and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ R.N.H. Stable, Infinite Patience led her two rivals on a merry chase and won easily in 1:49.34. Barbara Heads trains and Antonio Reyes rode.

This was the 15th career win for Infinite Patience from 20 starts and her earnings now stand at $469,947.

Trainer Heads also sent out the winner of the $100,000 BC Premiers Stakes at 1 1/8 miles as AT ATTENTION, owned and bred by Bryan and Carol Anderson, stalked the pace and won a stretch battle with Arollercoastride to win by a  nose.

His time was 1:49.43 for trainer Barbara Heads. Peter Redekop’s AROLLERCOASTERRIDE was absolutely brilliant in defeat as the three-year-old set solid fractions of 22.85, 46.45 and 1:11.22 and when collared by the winner he fought valiantly all the way to the wire only to lose by a nose. The Tod Mountain Thoroughbreds STAY FANTASTIC ran another solid race, checking third.

At Attention is a BC-bred by Shangai Bobby – Unattended by Quality Road. This was his 4th win of 2022 and second stakes win of the season. His career totals stand at 7 wins from 26 starts and earnings of $243,791.

The leading trainer’s race is a good one as Edgar Mendoza and Barbara Heads are separated by just one win heading into the final couple of weeks of the season.
