King’s Plate winner MANSETTI will be offered for sale today as the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale gets underway in Lexington, KY.
Keeneland has cataloged 1,097 horses for the 69th annual sale on Monday-Tuesday, Jan. 12-13. The two-day auction offers a diverse selection of broodmares and broodmare prospects, newly turned yearlings and horses of racing age along with stallions and stallion prospects.

The session begins at 10 a.m. The now four-year-old son of Collected also won the Grade 3 Marine Stakes and Woodstock Stakes this year for owners Al and Bill Ulwelling. The colt has earned over $776,000.
Several Plate-winning fillies and mares have been sold at auction as broodmare prospects such as Moira, Wonder Gadot and Lexie Lou. The last two male Plate winners to go through a sale post-Plate win were Sir Dudley Digges (2016), who was sold as a stallion prospect for $6,700, and Midnight Aria (2010), a $40,000 sale in 2016 who went to Korea and was outdistanced in two races in 2017.
