Support a great cause at Woodbine Racetrack on Saturday, November 7, when LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society will be set up on the second floor grandstand near Customer Service from 12 noon – 3:00 pm. Retired jockeys Larry Attard, Richard Dos Ramos, Robert Landry, Gerry Olguin and Robin Platts will be there between 12:30-2:30 for a meet-and-greet and to sign autographs during the calendar giveaway, plus there will be merchandise for sale, so you can get some Christmas shopping done early. A number of LongRun directors will be available to answer questions and provide information about the non-profit’s program finding loving adoptive homes for former racehorses, and Thoroughbred aftercare in general.
Woodbine will be making a cheque presentation to LongRun during the races on Saturday afternoon.
