Jockey LUIS CONTRERAS, a two-time winner of the Woodbine Oaks, will partner BA DEE YAH in next Saturday’s big race for Canadian bred three-year-old fillies. The Oaks will be run for the 69th time and it is 1 1/8 miles on Tapeta.

Ba Dee Yah, who has never raced at Woodbine or on an all-weather surface, is coming into Ontario Monday for Gold Standard Racing of Bill and Mary Stone of Connecticut. Trainer Tom Amoss, who won the Nijinsky Stakes in 2006 with Rush Bay, has won over 4,000 races including the Kentucky Oaks (G1). Amoss is also an accomplished television commentator.

Bill Stone, founder and CEO of SS & C Technologies, is a billionaire born in Indiana. His wife Mary, also from Indiana, named Ba Dee Yah, a daughter of Uncle Mo bred by Anderson Farms, for the Earth Wind and Fire song ‘September’.
