Soon after his longshot and jaw-dropping win in the Queen’s Plate, MIGHTY HEART apparently was rarin’ to go again. The mighty little bay by Dramedy will go postward as the big favourite in the second leg of the Canadian Triple Crown at Fort Erie on Tuesday – the Prince of Wales Stakes.

Both owner Marry Cordes and trainer Josie Carroll were fairly adamant that the one-eyed colt, who ran out of his skin in his wire-to-wire Plate romp, would not come back in 3 weeks to try the Wales.

But according to Cordes, the colt has been ‘climbing the walls’ since the Plate, so it’s go time.

MIGHTY HEART was installed the 7 to 5 favourite in a field of 9 drawn Friday morning. He will start from post 2 with longshot Truebelieve to his inside and 8 to 1 shot Dotted Line to his outside.

RED MERCURY, a maiden, was supplemented at a cost of $12,500.
