The 2023 OBS Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training is set for Tuesday through Friday, April 25th – 28th, with all four sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The sale schedule is as follows:
Hip No. 1 – 306 will sell Tuesday, April 25th.
Hip No. 307 – 612 will be sold Wednesday, April 26th.
Hip No. 613 – 918 will sell Thursday, April 27th.
Hip No. 919 – 1222 will be sold Friday, April 28th.
At Wednesday’s session of the Under Tack Show, Hip No. 618, a daughter of Speightstown consigned All Dreams Equine, Agent, sped a quarter in a track record equaling :20 1/5, the sale’s fastest at the distance. The bay filly is a half-sister to recent stakes winner Lady Lowery and a three-quarter sister to graded stakes winner Speightster, out of Last Dance, by Revolutionary.
Four youngsters shared honours for the Under Tack Show’s fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 3/5.
At last Sunday’s opening session, Hip No. 141, a daughter of Mendelssohn consigned by Off the Hook, Agent, turned in the day’s fastest eighth. The bay filly is out of Caroline Victoria, by Lonhro (AUS), from the family of grade one stakes winner American Theorem.
At Tuesday’s session it was Hip No. 449, a son of Frosted consigned by Longoria Training & Sales, Agent. The bay colt is out of Handwoven, by Indian Charlie, a half-sister to graded stakes-placed Flatter Than Me.
On Friday it was Hip No. 967, a bay colt by Into Mischief consigned by Wavertree Stables Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, out of graded stakes-placed stakes winner Singing Kitty, by Ministers Wild Cat, from the family of graded stakes winner Montjoy.
Hip No. 1012, a chestnut filly by Speightstown consigned by Scanlon Training & Sales, Agent for Excel Bloodstock (Bruno DeBerdt), also equaled the sale’s fastest eighth on Friday. She’s out of graded stakes placed Spooky Woods, by Ghostzapper, a half sister to stakes placed Kinsley Kisses.
