An Ontario-bred colt by classy American stallion WAR FRONT sold for $310,000 at this week’s Ocala Spring Sale of two-year-olds in training, while another Ontario-bred sold for $200,000 guineas overseas.
The Ocala sale wraps up Friday, April 17, 2026 with its fourth session and business has been solid at the large auction. The War Front colt is from the French-bred mare Say Hey, by Pivotal (GB) who raced at Woodbine in 2021 for Ballycroy Training Centre and Villa Rosa Farm. The War Front sold as a yearling for $100,000 at the 2025 Keeneland September yearling sale.
Consigned by Camelot Acres Racing and Sales, agent II, the colt worked one furlong in a quick 9 4/5 and brought a winning bid from Case Clay Thoroughbred Management.
At the TATTERSALLS CRAVEN BREEZE-UP sale in Newmarket, an Ontario-bred colt from the first crop of Preakness Stakes winner Early Voting sold for just over $285,000 after a spirited run over the turf course for that auction. Bred by Shannondoe Farm, which bought the mare She’s Got Moves for $40,000 carrying the Early Voting colt, the youngster was bought back for $75,000 as a short yearling and then sold at Keeneland September of 2025 for $100,000. West Point Thoroughbreds purchased the Early Voting colt this week at the Tattersalls sale through agent Kip Elser.
The colt is from the winning mare She’s Got Moves, by Distorted Humour, who is from a deep pedigree line of Sam-Son Farm stars including Queen’s Plate winner Dancethruthedawn.
