Gary Barber purchased two Ontario-bred yearlings from the past two sessions of the KEENELAND SEPTEMBER YEARLING SALE including a half-sister to his champion MY BOY PRINCE.
The Keeneland sale, which runs through Sept. 26, continues to set records and there are some 70 Ontario-bred yearlings in the auction.
Barber paid $350,000 for a filly by Constitution – Hopping Not Hoping from Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa, agent. The breeder is Murray Smith. Barber bought My Boy Prince from Smith for $115,000 from the 2022 CTHS Ontario sale and has collected some $1.6 million racing the grey gelding.
Barber also purchased an Ontario-bred filly by Life Is Good – Marie MacKay in partnership with St. Elias Racing from St. George Sales, agent XXIII. The filly was bred by Track West.
David Anderson’s Anderson Farms, through six sessions, has sold six yearlings for over $2.1 million.
