An unnamed Point of Entry colt was sold for 320,000 euros ($478,000 CAD) at the Arqana ‘Breeze Up’ Two-Year-Old in Training Sale held in Deauville, France on May 13. The Ontario-bred colt, out of the graded stakes-winning mare Ice Festival, was consigned by Bloodstock Connection and purchased by Rabbah Bloodstock Limited, founded in 2006 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the UAE.

Frank Stronach of Adena Springs sold the yearling at the Keeneland September 2022 sale, where he was purchased by Elwick Stud and Get In The Game for $55,000. In 2021, Bill and Ann Scott bought a half-sister to the colt for $120,000 from the Keeneland September sale. Silent Tribute, by Silent Name, is currently running at Woodbine.

Point of Entry (Dynaformer – Matlacha Pass, by Seeking the Gold) stands at Adena Springs North in Aurora, Ontario. The 2008 stallion has sired eight crops including two champions and seven graded blacktype winners.

A group of 140 youngsters went through the Arqana sale for a total of €21,110,500 and an average of €150,789. The top price was €1,200,000 for an Irish-bred colt (Siyouni x Isabel De Urbina) from Grove Stud who sold to Oliver St Lawrence Bloodstock of Newmarket, UK. Full sales results here.
