ARIKA EVERATT-MEEUSE, manager of the successful Shannondoe Farms in St. Thomas, Ontario, and consistently seeking a way to better the breeding industry in Ontario, has developed POST TIME AUCTIONS to give the Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse industry an opportunity to buy and sell racehorses. The first sale, the Winter Mixed Auction, is March 15-23 with entries being accepted beginning Feb. 22.

“I’ve created this site to give Canadian Breeders and owners equal opportunities to move inventory on a more regular basis and cost-effective way while giving both buyers and sellers a safe way to continue their business,” said Everatt-Meeuse. “The need for a Canadian currency sales platform has also been met.”

Post Time Auctions are online only sales powered by the auction platform. Entrants remain on sellers’ property – no stress or risk to the horse, no shipping or additional sales costs to the consignor!

Post Time Auctions was founded by Everatt-Meeuse, who was born into the horse industry and grew up working on her family’s Shannondoe Farm in Ontario, Canada. In addition to being integral to the success of the farm from an early age, Arika has run consignments for Shannondoe since her late teens. She co-founded South Point Sales Agency in Kentucky and has been consigning thoroughbreds at all major sales in the U. S. since 2014 under the South Point banner.

Through years of being involved in nearly all facets of the equine industry, Arika has seen the need for Canadian horse owners and breeders, of all breeds, to have access to additional sales outlets. This need has only grown more urgent since the beginning of the 2020s.

Arika began showing hunter/jumpers as a child before shifting gears to reining and working cows as a favorite past time. Shannondoe Farm has added Standardbred mares to their broodmare band and it was through working with these breeds that Arika saw the true need to offer the same online sales platforms in Canada that are available in other countries.
