Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame inductee, multiple Grade 1 winner and Canadian champion SHAMAN GHOST has returned to his birth province to stand his fourth season at stud. The 7-year-old son of top sire Ghostzapper (fee $85,000) – Getback Time by Gilded Time is one of four stallions announced at Adena Springs North in Aurora, ON, and he has a $7,500 fee.

Shaman Ghost won the 2015 Queen’s Plate and was second in the Prince of Wales Stakes for Stronach Stables and trainer Brian Lynch. As a 4-year-old, the strapping dark bay joined trainer James Jerkens and won the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes and the Grade 2 Brooklyn Handicap. At 5 he won the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap, the Grade 3 Pimlico Special and was second to Arrogate in the Pegasus World Cup (G1). He won 8 of 17 races and $3.8 million.

Well traveled as a racehorse and a winner on dirt or all-weather surfaces, Shaman Ghost entered stud in 2018 in California where he was well received. He was moved to Kentucky in 2019 to stand alongside Ghostzapper at Adena Springs Kentucky. When Stronach put his Kentucky farm up for sale, Ghostzapper and Mucho Macho Man moved to Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa. Shaman Ghost came north.
