A select number of Ontario-bred yearlings sold at the 100th annual Fasig Tipton Saratoga yearling sale on August 9 and 10 in Saratoga Springs, New York. Sam-Son Farms sold four for a total of $1,780,000 led by a $625,000 filly by Medaglia D’Oro from Journey Home by War Front. This is the second foal of Grade 3 winner Journey Home.

Bernard and Karen McCormack’s Cara Bloodstock sold two for Jay and Christine Hayden’s Saintsbury Farms including a chestnut son of Good Magic from the Giant’s Causeway mare Unreachable.

Over the course of the two-night sale, 135 yearlings changed hands for $55,155,000. The average was $408,556, less than a percentage point down from the sale record of $411,459 set in 2019. The median was $350,000, tied for first in the sale’s history with the equal mark set in 2019.
