Jockey SHEENA RYAN has had surgery on her pelvis and elbow following a training accident in early May at Woodbine. Ryan, who was getting back to riding horses after suffering a concussion last fall, faces more recuperation time and the racing community is banding together to raise funds for the rider.

Ryan, the 2014 Sovereign Award winning apprentice jockey, also has her own yoga instruction business.

A GoFundMe has been organized by fellow jockey Isabelle Wenc HERE.

There will also be also a charity baseball game on June 20 organized by assistant trainer Josie DePaulo.
