Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Sir Dudley Digges, piloted by Julien Leparoux, arrived in the final strides to collar favoured Amis Gizmo to win Sunday’s 157th running of The Queen’s Plate, at Woodbine.

The 13-race Queen’s Plate card produced a record handle of $11,839,883 eclipsing the mark of $11,064,870 set a year ago.

The mile and a quarter Queen’s Plate, which is North America’s oldest annually-run stakes race, went with a field of 13 Canadian-bred 3-year-olds including three entrants based south of the border.
